In honor of me going on my very first tour, I linked up with the good people over at CloudKickers to collaborate on a the OFFICIAL “Like a Kid Again” tour t-shirt!!!
This is so AMAZING…and lets me know just how far Ive come. Pretty fuckin awesome!!
Here is the new (and final) artwork for my project “The Audition EP”!!!
The reason why I chose to change the artwork is because I felt the previous artwork was too safe. No one was mad at it. No one said “what the fuck is this?” Anyone can have a picture of themselves with text, and for a second I let myself fall into the norm.
Ive recorded over 40 songs since the release of the first artwork and tracklisting, and the entire project has gone in a different direction. It shows more of my personality than anything Ive ever done, and the artwork needed to showcase my personality as well. I truly, 100%, without a doubt believe that “The Audition” will be one of the top 10 projects of 2010! I really want to say top 5, but the blogosphere would go CRAZY….lol. But Ive put A LOT of work into this project. Its hip hop! More hip hop than anything Ive done prior….and on March 23rd, everyone will get to judge for themselves!
The first commercial for my “The Audition EP”! Shot by The Mighty Fifty!! This commercial is visually amazing, and not just because Im in it (partly because of it..lol).
This commercial basically expresses EXACTLY how I was feeling creating “The Audition”…and it literally just blows my mind!!!
Soooooo…my single “Like a Kid Again” dropped today on iTunes and I’m happy to say that it’s on the iTunes HipHop/Rap homepage in the “New and Noteworthy” section! Out of the 100s of thousands if not millions of songs on iTunes, my songs is up there, and its a wonderful feeling!!
I told people that I was going to do everything I can to take over 2010, and not even 2 months in and I’m doing it and then some!!
Make sure to cop “Like a Kid Again” off iTunes! You’ll love it, promise!!
Here is the final artwork for my EP “The Audition”!!!! I am SUPER fuckin excited about this project!! I’m listening to it now and I truly believe its the BEST collection of music I have ever put together!!
My dudes Mick Boogie and Terry Urban have chosen to be apart of this, and its only right because their The Press Play Show on Shad 45 was the first big radio show that ever gave me an on-air interview.
MARCH 23RD!!! IT’S GOING DOWN LIKE THE CATALINA WINE MIXER!!!!
You know that scene at the end of the movie “Pursuit of Happyness” when Will Smith is walking down the street full of crowded people and begins to cry a little bit because he just got the job at the firm? That’s kind of how I feel right now.
Ive worked soooooo hard throughout my life, chasing my dreams even when people told me they weren’t attainable. Ive played music for people, who in return told me I wasnt ready..or that I should consider other options. Family members constantly reminding me that making it in music is a “one and a million” chance.
And here we are, Jan 28th 2010 and tickets for my first official tour have gone on sale. Life is crazy.
Nothing that has happened to me has been luck, or chance…just skill, practice, and hardwork. I don’t believe in luck, because that’s discrediting the amount of hours I’ve put into something.
I obviously still have a LONG way to go..but so did WIll Smith at the end of the movie, that doesnt mean that he and I both can’t sit back for a second and be proud of what we have done so far.
I may be young, and have a lot of life left to live….but I can honestly say that I am living proof that dreams do come true! (It’s a lot of fun when they do!!…lol)
I thank you all for your complete support, as always! See you on tour!!!!!!!
I was in New York performing at Sarah Lawrence College a little while ago…I decided to upload some pics of me out there.
Sidebar: I love NY! Seriously (minus the cold ass weather)
2010 is looking like it will be a HUGE year for me and my bro XV. Me and XV met in 09 backstage at SOBs in New York. We were already familiar with each others work and were fans, so it was a no-brainer that we’d hit the studio later that night.
At the studio, we had a conversation that lasted for HOURS about women, video games, and everything in between. From then on, we talk all the time about what 2010 will bring….its now time.
